FROM TRANQUILLITY TO ABSOLUTE CHAOS

Did I say that it was cold? – I regret that.. And who the h*ll said that it should rain?!

I took the local bus in to town and it was a quite cosy trip. They like to play loud music.. x)

When I arrived into town I walked around in total chaos. Such a big difference in environment 😝 A local came up to me and showed me the way to to a temple. I also found a craftsmanship market were I bought earnings (which was asked for back home). The guy wanted to sell some real pearls to me too. He took a lighter out and burned one, I was a big question mark – why did he do that?? He told me that this shows me that they are not fake plastic ones (”aha, ok”). I told him that I have had a black pearl from Tahiti but some burglars took everything some years ago. He felt so sorry for me that he said that he could give me the pearls for F$5. I took it. It was a nice gesture but I think it could be a trick too. But hey, if I imagine it is a nice gesture it is a nice gesture.. 😝 Let’s be a little blue eyed ^^

Went into a clothing store and it was hectic! People everywhere and loud music playing some sort of indian party music. I just went around laughing, because that was crazy 😆

It felt like I was the only westener there. I stood out quite a bit. People just say ”Bula!” to me all the time and asking me how I am, how’s my holiday, if I’m enjoying my trip, where I’m from etc. I think it is their version of catcalling, but they are super nice and friendly so I don’t mind ^^

I also found a food market which was huuuge. Went around there for a while. Met a seller that asked where I was from, when I said Sweden he asked ”Stockholm?”, I told him Gothenburg. He then asked me if I knew who Zlatan was and told me that he was his favourite ^^

Later I was so sweaty that I needed to sit down and take the bags off. Then it was a matter of figuring out witch bus went to the airport and when. It was over 30 buses coming and going. When that was settled I thought I could go and wander around a little more, didn’t end up like that. With a little communication problems I decided to jump on the bus anyway. In the beginning it seemed to be a long bus ride because of the traffic in city centre, but as soon we got out of the city it went quite fast. The problem I realised when I sat there was when people wanted to get off they pressed a button *but* there where no possibility to know which stop it was. The locals just knew. I didn’t know if the bus driver remembers that I wanted to get off at the airport – he did 🙂 I was sitting there looking out and rain started to pour down, like heavy rain. The bus stoped and I thought to myself, maybe the rain will stop when I need to go off.. Well.. Then the driver calls out to me ”This is the airport!”. Of course it is… x) I ran out under cover and luckily there was a roof path all the way to the airport 🙂

So now I had 2.5h at the airport. And you have apparently WiFi for only one hour. I sat down for a mango smoothie.
