DAY 7 – FULL DAY MASAI MARA

The day started with some breakfast and then we were off to the park. We hardly drove far before we saw some hyenas and jackals feasting on a cadaver.

During our game drive we once again saw a lot of animals including cheetahs, lions and hippos. We saw the cheetas quite early in the morning basking in the sun. This was three brothers sticking together which is quite rare. They didn’t mind us at all. Shortly after we saw some lions. One alfa male, one female and a young male that barely had any mane. We also passed the Tanzania border to Sarangeti, but no passports were needed because you need to cross a river to get into Tanzania.

For lunch we took a picknick in the shadows under a tree. When we sat there some quite big birds approached us hoping to get some food. After we were done we threw all the remaining food to the birds around. Just before we left a vulture came and wanted a piece of the chicken 😅

When we arrived back to the lodge we almost directly jumped into the pool. When drying upp we met our new friends and we spent the rest of the evening with them – it was super nice 😊 We decided to meet up in Diani Beach where we going to spend our last 5 days of the trip and celebrate my birthday 😁🥳
