DAY 6 – LAKE NAKURU TO MASAI MARA

This morning, as we walked to the restaurant for breakfast, we were greeted by a sprinting Mila that wanted to say ”good morning”. She was super happy to see someone was awake 😊 Breakfast was good and when we were done I gave Mila my bacon, she was happy 😁

On our way to Masai Mara we stopped at a local shop to buy some souvenirs. A very kind guy that was half Masai and half Kukoyo. He got so happy when I talked Swahili with him 😁

After a drive on the main road and a very bumpy 15km drive we arrived at our lodge. Before our afternoon game drive we had time for lunch and take a dip in the pool.

The game drive in Masai Mara started quite slow. Sometimes that does happen, it just happen to be when we were in Masai Mara. We obviously saw a lot of animals, but when you seen a lot of the same animals you start to wish for more. Especially animals you haven’t seen before 😄 In the end of the drive we saw a genet cat that was lurking in the bush and a cheetah that was walking around. 30 minutes after we were supposed to have left the park, we stopped for some sunset pictures before we headed home.

Back home we had dinner and before bed, the mandatory drink. Asked for a local drink and it was good!
