DAY 3 – FULL DAY IN SAMBURU PARK

The day started at 7:30 when the alarm clock rang. Or actually around 6:40 because the cleaners thought we were out 😅 After a nice big breakfast we were ready to go on a whole day safari (or game drive as they call it here). 8:30 we headed out and came back at 15:00. We saw a lot of animals as we drove around in the Samburu Park. Before we headed out on our game drive we got a list with useful Swahili words and phrases (as we requested) which we took some time to try to remember 🤓 (David even tricked us that it was a letter from the Kenyan embassy 😅😂)

During lunch time we stopped in the park, by the river that was almost completely dry. The hotel we were staying at had packed a lunch box so we sat on a trea in the shadow feasting on our lunch. After a short time a monkey appeared and after David managed to scare it away it came back with backup 😆 So during our lunch we needed to throw sticks to scare them away and try to eat at the same time 😅

When back from the game drive we took a cold beer before we jumped into the pool. Later we just hanged in the cottage until it was time for dinner. The food was once again delicious and the evening ended with a good drink. 👍
