BORDER CROSSING, CHIPATA AND CHIMFULE CAMP, ZAMBIA

Early day today, because we crossed the Zambia border. Everything went smoothly and no hassle at all. Just that Tobias and I once again had no dollars and because it is Sunday today there were no place to exchange money. This our guide solved by lending us money – Super nice of him!

All the others in the group seem to have withdrawn all the US Dollars before. We didn’t know there was a safety box and we didn’t want to carry around a lot of money, but hey you live and you learn 💵

When we came to Chipata we withdrew money for the whole trip. We also stocked up on water and additional bugs spray. It was really hard to find big bottles of water so we needed to buy 6 smaller water bottles, and when we sat on the bus we realised we bought mineral water.. x)

Yesterday it was a slight change of plan when we heard that the camp site we planned to go to was flooded. One bus was apparently stuck for two days. So the tour guide decided that we should go to another camp site, but he had never been there before.

When we arrived we put up our tent and Tobias went to sleep and I went to help prepare dinner (it was our turn). This place maybe wasn’t the best, but the ground was super soft because of the long grass and we had one of our best sleeps here ^^
