TRANSPORTATION DAY VIA LUSAKA TO EURIKA CAMP, ZAMBIA

We as the days before started early and left the camp at 7. This was a typical transportation day where we covered a lot of land with nice scenery. You can argue that it’s a lot bus transportation but we pass a lot of villages and see a lit of nice landscapes etc. It is the African way of doing eg. train trip in Europe.In the front of the bus there is a table and six seats, so after a little bit of sleep, some of us decided to sit there and play Uno.

After a while it was time for lunch break and we just stopped by the road and prepped and ate our sandwiches. Later it was a little more driving until we came to the capital Lusaka where we had a 2h brake at a shopping mall. It feels bad to say it, but it was quite nice with a little civilisation for a change 😅 Here we withdrew money and exchanged it to dollars – so we would be more prepared at the border, but also for some tours we wanted to do 🙂 When all that was settled we sat down at a restaurant witch had WiFi (that’s when I did all of the updates ^^). So we sat there for a while until it was time to go to the bus. Our chef decided to go back in to the store so Tobias and I decided to run away and buy some creamy ice-cream that our American friends recommend 😛 When we arrived to our camp site they told us we are going through a small park so we were supposed to have our eyes open for animals. As we were putting up our tent there was a super cute dog running around and playing with everyone. There also was some pretty cats and the dog tried to play with them. Most of them ran away or ran up in a tree, but one stayed on the ground and the dog was at it all the time. Poor thing, it got ambushed, attacked etc. In the end the cat got sick of it and started to chase the dog. The dog got scared and ran into one of the tent poles. Very funny ^^ But the cat was super friendly and wanted to cuddle with us humans (when it wasn’t trying to get rid of the dog ^^)When the tent was fixed and the bus was was cleaned (the duty for the day) we went to the bar, bought a local beer and played frisbee with some people from the group. After that we jumped into the pool, which was very cool. I guess it is really nice when it is super hot 🙂 In the pool we got an idea that we should try to do a wirle pool and all of us started to run. It was quite fun, because we managed to do it and you could just float along 😂 The dinner was great and we decided to go to bed early – again ^^
