NUKU’ALOFA, TONGA

So the plan today was to rent a car and a guy from Peace Corp should take me around the island. The problem was that he forgot about it and had other plans. I don’t want to drive the car by myself (manuel and on the wrong side..) so I decided to skip it. Maybe someone will come to my dorm and we can do it together. Worst case is to maybe rent a taxi that will drive me around 😎

I started the day with breakfast and later do an exercise session before shower. Later I went to a secondhand store where everything was on 50% sale. I figured that maybe I could find a sweater because sometimes I’m so cold.. 😝 I found two sweaters for 50sek in total!

Later was the plan to go to a surfing spot and watch people surf, read my book and drink cocktails by the water – that idea got quickly shot down.. x) I asked if there was any buses going there but she told me maybe one more bus today, but she was afraid I wouldn’t get the bus back because they don’t go that often. So if I would go early in the morning it would be ok – well typical that I did the opposite.. x)

Instead I bunkered up with some crackers and roasted peas and headed to the beach here in Nuku’alofa. Took around 50 min one way and I sat down under three trees that formed a roof over me. The beach was not great but mostly because it was low tide. I sat there for a while listen to music and reading my book 🙂

On my way back I saw some young girls picking up garbage by the main road, it made me happy 💪 Still,, shouldn’t be there in the first place..

The day ended with Vietnamese food and me crawled into bead reading my book 🙂
