HANOI, VIETNAM

After arriving with the night bus from Thakhek I had 5h in the airport. Laos Airline was something I never heard about before and I was hoping it wasn’t a low standard company – it wasn’t! Really like them. Everything went smooth and I even got some food on a one hour flight 🙂

When I arrived in Hanoi I took a taxi with some people. One of them was a guy from England and he told me he and some friends were supposed to go to Cat Ba Island for a day and I could join. Sadly I just realised that the days don’t fit now.. I found a hostel that I booked on the spot. In my doorm I met a girl from Colombia and we went out for dinner 🙂 

Next day I went out to explore Hanoi. I started with Ding Xian Market which is the biggest market in Hanoi. D**n, that was a big market. Three levels and they were packed with everything from food to clothes to electrical stuff. I think i got lost one time x)

Then I went for lunch before going to Hoan Kiem Lake. The idea was to see water puppets and continue to the cathedral and the museums. But when I did a short pause on a bench a guy came to me and start to talk to me. He apparently meet foreigners to practice English. A really nice guy and I got a private lesson in facts about Vietnam 🙂

Stayed there for a while so I didn’t have time to do the things I planned. In the evening I took a night bus to Sapa.
