Florida & Louisiana - What we learned
- They are crazy driver π₯
- A lot of cars on the side of the road on the way to/from Miami
- A lot of police cars by the road to Key West (keep the speed limit π ) - but sometimes empty π€
- No big grocery store in Key West
- They don't smoke much in Key West, more mariuana if something π
- No small cars π
- After you are done eating, ask for the check when they take your plate. Otherwise, you need to wait for a while
- Miami is just a big city, not much for tourists
- Napels has the age average of 50+
- Coffee is not coffe, and if you try to make it stronger it just taste bitter βοΈ
- Fast food is expensive
- Chocolate is not good here π«
- They don't know what a Ceasar Sallad is. You will probably have no chicken or bacon
- Tipping culture is worse than we thought (they can ask if a tip is ok)
- Expected to see more people with guns in Florida (didn't see any) π«
- Orlando is almost impossible to find your way. And if you take the wrong way it is not easy to find your way back. Often add 10-20 minutes to the route.
- Not much smoking
- We have been able to pay everything with credit card π³
Surprisingly, a lot of plastic when you eat or drink. It you eat at a restaurant, you will probably get plastic plates and cutlery. If you are at a bar, 98% of the time, the glass will be plastic.
- The water is not good, but drinkable π
- Surprisingly many people "working" but still only one or two that are actually working
- They donβt have to say alcohol percentage on the beer bottles/cans
