DAY 12 – TSAVO EAST TO DIANI BEACH

Today we woke up at 5:15, and it was totally worth it. We saw the big lion family and two cheetahs before we headed out on the big road to Diani Beach 🏖🤿

The drive took about 4h and the plan was to get as much sleep as possible so we could do a proper celebration in the evening 😁

When we arrived to the lodge, it was time to say goodbye to our guide David and thank him for our wonderful experience 🤠 After that it was some resting time before we hit the pool. The pool was really nice and we hanged there for several hours drinking cocktails and talking to people.

When it was lunchtime we decided to go to a vegan place together with our friends from Masai Mara, Seina and Misha. When we were done the whole place started to sing and a guy that worked there came out with a piece of cake and a candle. It was so nice! And to my surprise I also got a necklace from him (the restaurant was a jewellery shop as well). It was a big surprise and I was so happy 😊

As the sun went down we took a boat on the river and had some wine to the sunset. Also super nice! 😎

During dinner at our lodge the staff started to sing but I couldn’t figure out what they sang about. It took me too long before I realised they were singing for me! And they had a cake as well. I was so surprised and it was super lovely! The day ended with drinks at a local place to some reggie music and the best company you could have 🥰🥰
