No stop lights in Vanuatu
Not very uncommon to se men in what we think is skirts in Tonga
People are not very friendly to the dogs (eg kicking them)
Vegetarian options are not very common
It is unusual cold and cloudy in Tonga right now
The language in Vanuatu is funny, it is sometimes a Vanuatu version of English. ”Very good” in Vanuatu is ”Nambawan”. But if you stop and think about it, namba-wan -> number one.. 😆
There is no thing called timetable in Vanuatu and Tonga
Took me only three days to start think in English – surprisingly fast 😮
Mosquito spray is weaker in Europe and does not always work abroad.!
Kids in Tonga shouted ”Goodbye” rather than ”Hello”
It’s not mango season, so no mangos for me.. 🙁
No dangerous animals or insects in Fiji
Fiji time / Tonga time / Island time = Whenever they arrive
They are surprisingly good with names and many places greeted me by my name
Super friendly people everywhere
Taking a bus in Vanuatu means either just stand by the road or walk and wave to a passing van -> that’s the bus ^^
Not uncommon to hear ABBA a little now and then.
In Fiji there are a lot of Indians and in Vanuatu and Tonga are a lot of Chinese. Chinese stores everywhere, sometimes hard to support the locals 😮
People tell me, because of my positive attitude good things happens to me 🙂
They burn coconuts EVERYWHERE
A lot of Aussies and Kiwis travelling South Pacific ^^
Tonga seems to have problem with domestic violence.. 😕
Rugby seems to be THE sport here
They seem very family centric here. A lot of questions involved family and marriage x)
A lot of solar panels around all three countries. Even in small villages 😁
Apparently your taste buds are affected by the high altitude and that’s why some things does not taste good, or just suddenly taste good. Eg Flight food contra tomato juice (who orders that??)
Internet is not very common in Tonga and Wifi is very hard to find. Best thing is to buy a sim card if you want internet.
