Key Largo to Key West, Florida - Day 2

Today we woke up quite early and went straight to the ocean for a swim in the morning light 🤩 We also got Starbuck Coffee from the reception - Free 😁

After talking with the receptionist she recommended a waterpark called Bongo and a breakfast place called Loreley Restaurant Cabana Bar, which had very nice mimosas 🤤

When we arrived, they had something called Key lime coladas, and we had to try it! The waitress asked if we wanted an extra shot of rum on the top - well, yes! That drink was sooo good, especially when you mix and don't just drink the rum in the bottom/top 😅 The breakfast was really good, but too much (obviously). Next time we will probably share 😅

We continued our way to Bongo waterpark and after 20 minutes we arrived! Sadly, it wasn't as we thought. We thought it was more open, like you could do the obstacle course or zipline whenever you want, go for a drink and go back, but it was limited for 50 minutes, and you were forced to wear a life vest. We decided to drink some beer in their backyard and listen to their live band. Next stop was Bahia State Park, which was 30 minutes away.

The first thing at the park was to smear a thick layer of sunscreen and then jump into the water. It was really nice and we stayed there for a really long time. To not burn too much we decided to continue to Key West. The sky looked dark where we came from, so it felt it chased us all the way to Key West 😅

When we arrived in Key West, we needed to get our car through a very narrow pass way, and I'm talking about 1 dm on each side. But we made it! Before going out to eat, we bought some snacks and drank some homemade drinks. When we went out to eat, we met a really nice amarican couple that we hung out with. Got some really nice tips on where to go and eat in Alabama/New Orleans.

The day ended with us going to different bars, listening to live music and having a good time.
