Florida and Tennessee Awaits!
Soon we are on our way to Florida, and more precise Florida Key!
After some months of planning we are finally doing our roadtrip in the US. We will be away for 3 weeks where we will be going from Key West to New Orleans. It is a long journey but it will be fun!
I have googled all things that you need to and placed it out on a map. Then I tried to find a journey that fits for a three weeks vacation and not too long drives. Here are the different stops:
Key Largo: 1 night
Key West: 3 nights
Miami: 3 nights
Neapel: 2 nights
Siesta Key: 2 nights
Orlando: 3 nights
Panama City Beach: 1 night
Destin: 2 nights
New Orleans: 3 nights
The idea was that it should be quite open so If we talk to someone who recommends something, we can change the route - just need to be in New Orleans to catch the flight ๐
I created a map where you can see the intended itinerary and other possible things to do in the area.
The plan is to drive down to Key Largo and after a night sleep go to Key West. Then we go back to Miami where we stay three nights and later go via Everglades to Napels. We are thinking of doing a kayak tour in the Everglades before we continue to Napels - Letโs see what it cost ๐
From Napels we drive to Siesta Key and after that via Tampa to Orlando. In Orlando we are going to Universal Studio (yes, we are skipping Disney World, Harry Potter is more important ๐). We have a 3-park pass, so the plan is to go to the two โrollercoasterโ the first day, and the second day, we will go back to do what we missed and end in the water park ๐โโ๏ธ
After Orlando, we are going to have a long drive to Panama City Beach. The plan is to stop at different places on the way, like springs (marked on the map). It will only be one night in Panama City Beach, because after that we are heading to Destin. After Destin we are going to New Orleans, but how we drive is yet to be determined. Either we take the short way or we do some sightseeing in Alabama - letโs see what happens there ๐
Our last days will be spent in New Orleans where we will listen to nice jazz music and eat good food. Our flight home is late in the evening so we will have plenty of time to say goodbye to New Orleans ๐
